Should I start a business?

In this short video (1:05), Ron Blue gives a few guiding questions for those who are interested in starting a new business. He talks about having a passion for the business, having a legitimate market for the product or service you will sell, and having adequate capital to fund the business. Ron’s practical and thought provoking questions will help you if you are thinking through such an endeavor.

As always, Ron’s encouragement to you is to go back to God’s Word to restore your faith.  Take a moment to consider the following Scriptures, and meditate on their Truth and their application.

Proverbs 10:4 (NIV)

“Lazy hands make a man poor, but diligent hands bring wealth.”

Proverbs 12:11 (NIV)
“He who works his land will have abundant food, but he who chases fantasies lacks judgment.”

Proverbs 13:11 (NLT)
“Wealth from get-rich-quick schemes quickly disappears; wealth from hard work grows over time.”

Luke 16:10 (NIV)
“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.”

Ephesians 4:28 (NASB)
“He who steals must steal no longer; but rather he must labor, performing with his own hands what is good, so that he will have something to share with one who has need.”
