Transcendent Planning Principles - #5 (Give Generously)

Hello, my name is Ron Blue. I’ve had the privilege of answering people’s questions over the years, and I’ve had the privilege of writing books in anticipation of the questions that might be asked. And I’ve tried to boil down financial advice into something that is not mysterious, but is very, very practical. What I’ve found is that there are really only six fundamental, transcendent, timeless principles. By timeless I mean that they’ve been true for thousands of years through all cultures, they will be true for thousands of years into the future. They’re not going to change, they’re extraordinarily relevant today.

One of the most significant of the six is that the people I’ve counseled with who have been the most financially free, who have been the most financially content, who have experienced the freedom and the contentment…these come from giving generously. The Bible speaks about giving, not because God needs the money, but because God wants us to experience the freedom, the contentment that comes from opening my hands on the resources that God has entrusted me with. My encouragement is to give generously and make that one of the highest, if not the highest priority, in your financial planning and in your financial decision-making.
