Five Decisions to True Financial Freedom: The Lordship Decision
Hello, my name is Ron Blue. We’re talking about five decisions that people make on their road to achieving financial freedom. We talked about the fact that first of all, you have to have a relationship with the Creator God. He’s the One that gave us everything, so what is that point in time when I made that decision that He would be my Savior?
The second decision that I think people need to make, and that they can even identify when they make it, is what I call the Lordship decision. It’s depicted by: if my will is a throne, who sits on that throne? Does He sit on that throne, or do I sit on that throne? And when we make that decision that He will sit on the throne, it’s depicted in Romans chapter 12, verses one and two: “I beseech you therefore by the mercies of God to present your bodies a living sacrifice. And don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind so that you can prove what the will of God is, that which is good, perfect and acceptable.”
So the decision that we make to have a relationship with the Creator God is decision number one, but the second decision is: He’s also going to have total and complete control of my life. He’s either Lord of all or He’s not Lord at all. At some point in time, we’ve all got to confront the issue, “who is the lord of my life?” And that’s the second decision that people need to make on that road to financial freedom.
