Five Decisions to True Financial Freedom: The Salvation Decision

Hello, my name is Ron Blue. I’m delighted today to talk to you about a topic that I’ve been thinking about for a long time: that is, what is the process of achieving true financial freedom? I really think that there are five decisions that people make in this process of achieving financial freedom: a salvation decision, a Lordship decision, a calling decision, a steward decision, and a treasure decision. We’re going to cover these sequentially.

Today, I want to talk about the first fundamental decision that everybody has to make. John 3:16 is a familiar verse. It says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish, but have eternal life.” Nobody can really achieve financial freedom until they first of all have dealt with their relationship with the Creator God. He created us for His glory, and He’s giving us an opportunity to spend eternity with Him, which is the reason that Jesus came.

I have found in my own life that when I share my testimony, I can share the decision that I made at a point in time. And, you know, nobody can really argue with that testimony, because it’s my testimony, and I can tell you when I prayed to receive Christ. That’s the first and fundamental decision: that everybody has to receive Him before they can begin the process of achieving financial freedom. So the question is, what’s your relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ? What’s your relationship with the eternal God? What’s your relationship with your Creator?
