Ron Blue on “He’s God and I’m not.”

Hello, I’m Ron Blue, and I think God has a message for me. Henry Blackaby says it this way: “He’s God, and I’m not.” A friend of mine, Max Lucado, has written many, many books and has sent me his books from time to time, and he’s endorsed many of the books that I do. I had a book of Max’s that was on my bookshelf that I hadn’t read. I just picked it up not long ago. And the name of it is, It’s Not About Me by Max Lucado. In terms of a devotional book, I would really recommend it. “It’s Not About Me” or as Henry says, “He’s God, and I’m not.”

Everything is rooted in who I believe God to be. If God is good, and God is sovereign, what else is there? Because, if He’s sovereign, then He’s got everything under His control. If He’s good, it’s all going to work out the right way. If I truly can believe that about my Lord and Savior, then all of my life is going to be built around reflecting His glory. Because, I am no more than a mirror – reflecting the glory of Christ.
